Single Touch Payroll – Annual Finalisation
- All employers must complete their STP Finalisation declarations by 14 July 2021. The ATO recognise the effects of COVID-19 and are allowing these finalisations to be completed up until 31 July 2021.
Change to Superannuation Guarantee Rate
- From 1 July 2021, the superannuation guarantee contribution rate increases to 10%. This will apply to pay runs with a payment date of 1 July 2021 onwards, regardless of the period covered in that pay run. It is important to check the superannuation guarantee rate set in your accounting system as depending on your provider this rate may not have been automatically updated.
Changes to Minimum Award Wages Rates
- From 1 July 2021, minimum wage rates in some Modern Awards have increased. If you employ under an Award, it is recommended that you review your applicable award for any changes that may affect you.
